Casey Wissink Paint LLC, doing business as CW Paint ("we," "us," or "our"), is a painting contractor in Wausau, Wisconsin. Thank you for visiting our website. We use "you" and "your" to mean you, the reader, and anyone else who visits our website or asks us for an estimate. This privacy policy ("this policy") tells you what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and why, how long we keep it, and what we do to protect it. "Our website" means cwpaint.com, every page and form on it, and the online services we use to run it, such as the estimate form.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you ask for an estimate or contact us, you may give us contact details such as your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code, and details about the job, such as the kind of painting, the type of property, your timeline, and whether you own or rent.
Information recorded with your request. Our estimate form may record technical details along with what you submit, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you were on, the date and time, the consent wording you were shown, and any advertising or campaign tags in the link you arrived from, so we know which marketing led to your request.
Information collected as you browse. Like most websites, ours may record how it is used, such as which pages are viewed, taps on our phone number, progress through the estimate form, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, and basic device information. This happens through the cookies and similar technologies described below.
How we use it
We use your information for purposes such as:
- Contacting you about your project, preparing your estimate, and doing the work.
- Keeping the records a business keeps about its customers and jobs.
- Understanding how our website is used and which marketing brings in estimate requests.
- Protecting our website and our business from fraud and misuse.
- Meeting legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share your information with service providers that help us run our website and handle estimate requests, and only for those purposes. They include companies that host our estimate form and store requests on our behalf, verify that a phone number or email address is real, keep our customer records, host our website, measure how our website is used, measure our advertising, and manage cookie consent. Some of them, such as a phone verification service, may keep a copy of what they check for their own fraud prevention.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or someone else's, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number, or your consent to be called or texted, with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, for purposes such as analytics, advertising measurement, remembering a consent choice, and keeping your place in the estimate form. Some of these may last up to two years unless you delete them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and our website still works without them. You can stop Google Analytics from using your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
When we advertise online, other companies, including Google, may show our ads on websites across the internet, and may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on your past visits to our website. You can opt out of that in Google's Ads Settings or on the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Other companies, such as Google, may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites when you use ours.
Calls, texts and email
When you ask for an estimate, we will call, text or email you about it. The consent on our estimate form is written broadly on purpose, so that it still covers us if we add automated reminders or follow-ups later: it allows contact by automated dialing, by prerecorded or AI-generated voice or text, and, because you asked us to get in touch, at a number that is on a Do Not Call list.
Where that consent says "service providers acting on our behalf", it means companies that contact you for us and in our name, such as our customer records or messaging services. It does not mean other businesses marketing their own services to you.
To stop: reply STOP to any text, tell us on a call, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this policy, and we will stop promptly. Message and data rates may apply to texts. How many messages you get depends on your project. Agreeing to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything from us.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, which for a customer may be as long as we might need to quote the job, do it, stand behind it, and meet tax and record-keeping rules. Estimate requests that do not become jobs are kept for a limited time by the service that hosts our form. Our service providers keep information for their own periods, and some may keep a copy for fraud prevention that we cannot recall. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email us using the details below. A person reads these requests, and we will respond promptly. Deleting means removing you from the systems we control.
Security
Our service providers store your information on our behalf, and access to our accounts with them is limited to the CW Paint team. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever puts you at risk of identity theft or fraud, we will notify you as Wisconsin law requires.
Children
Our website is for adults arranging painting work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date it was last updated, and the date the current version took effect, are shown at the top of this page. We will notify you of changes by updating those dates and posting the updated policy here. If the change is a significant one, we will say so at the top of this page.
